Zemdegs won the first competition he attended, the New Zealand’s Championships (July 2009) with an average of 13.74s in the final round.He also won 2×2, 4×4, 5×5, 3×3 Blindfolded, and 3×3 One-Handed.
At his next competition, the Melbourne Summer Open (January 2010), Zemdegs set his first world records for 3×3 and 4×4 average, with times of 9.21 seconds and 42.01 seconds respectively. The most world records he has ever held at one time was after the competition in Melbourne in May 2011 where he held all 12 records listed in the first 12 columns of the table below.
He broke the 3×3 world record which was created by Erik with a single of 7.08s at the Melbourne Cube Day 2010,then renewed the world again at the Kubaroo Open 2011 with a single of 6.24s.Later in the 2011.06.25,he break the rocord again with a single of 5.66s!
He won the 3×3 event at the Rubik’s Cube world championship in Las Vegas in July 2013 with an average of 8.18 seconds and also came first in the 4×4 and 3×3 One handed.
In addition, he won the 3×3 event at the next Rubik’s Cube World Championships which took place in São Paulo in July 2015. He also took first place in 4×4, 5×5, and 2×2. He also placed second in 6×6, 7×7, and Megaminx.
He renewed the 3x3x3 World Record with times of 6.45 by using GAN356s in the WLS Lato 2016 on July 9, 2016.
